Standards

.
Why does a harmless little product need to comply to so many different standards???? I think I will soon have concrete phobia.....

Synopsis: A fantasy tale featuring state-of-the-art visual effects, "CJ7" is a comedy about a poor labourer (Stephen Chow) and his young son in mainland China. When a fascinating and strange new pet enters their lives, they learn a poignant lesson about the true nature of family and the things that money can't buy. (Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies)
.
I got the feeling that Stephen is trying to change the way of his approach in the direction of his movie. No longer did we see exaggerating stuns such as those in Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, which certainly amused us and makes his movie funny to watch. Rather, CJ7 is more of a emotional and educating movie. It talks about family values, the principle of society and the relationship of father and son, which certainly will moved some to tears. Another character to look out for in the movie will be the alien dog for its cuteness and interesting actions.

Finally..the GOOGLE PIN arrived

Ha, finally, after a 21 days wait.. the Google PIN arrived at my house. I was getting increasingly agitated when after 2 weeks, the much awaited mail still are now-where in sight. Well, the Adsense people did promise a 2-4 weeks wait. But normally, a US mail will only take about 13 days, or at maximum, a 15 days wait. I wonder what is causing the delay?? Well, better be late than never~ =)

Country: Singapore

Date of PIN generation: 22/01/2008

Date the letter was sent: 26/01/2008

Date of arrival: 16/02/2008 (21 days)

Well, to all the people who are still waiting for their PIN, my own advice to you is: Be patient~

三盅两件(Suntec)

Our specially selected 4-course meal =)
.
Appetizer
Steamed peanuts (Normal)
How good / bad can it get? I highly suspect that they just open a can of peanuts, steamed it a little and up it goes to the hungry customer table.... Oh well...>_<
.
Main Course
Begger Rib (recommended)
The pork rib was marinated with a sweet char-siew like sauce (of course, it taste better than the normal char-siew sauce) and cooked to a almost perfect tenderness, slightly a bit to the over-done side. But, not to worry, the tasty sause make up for the slightly hard meat and it kept me going for more ribs~
.
Rice with Chinese Sausage (Not recommended)
It was served with white rice and a few pieces of chinese sausage on top. The sause given in the rice was miserably stingy, and the rice taste like either it was over-cooked or they added just a little not enough of water. Some of the rice pieces are hard with little or no moisture.
.
Dried Scallop with Gingsheng Black Chicken Soup (Highly Recommended)
This is what make our day!!! A few little sip of the soup and I can taste the heavy fragance of the Scallop. Double thumbs up for that! Together with the perfect blend of Black Chicken, Gingsheng, Ginger and Red Dates, the soup was heavenly. Need I say more?

Class mini renuion lunch

This was supposed to be posted up on Saturday, but I dragged and dragged until today.. *opps* Well, the usual people turn up, have a mini chat around and watch a very very interesting (though I will prefer to say wierd) French movie. We have a huge spread of food (as you can see below), which I am sure I must now run 10 times around the track to work off all those calories~ =P Well, what to do? Pizzas, yummy ducks and spaghetti are all too nice for me to resist it~

27 dresses

Synopsis: Jane (Katherine Heigl) is a vivacious New Yorker with a great job, a great apartment and a collection of ugly bridesmaid dresses she'll never wear again. She is so enamoured in other people's love lives that she is guilty of 'wedding-hopping', a feat witnessed by Kevin (James Marsden), a newspaper reporter who realises that a great story on this 'always-a-bridesmaid' is his ticket off the wedding beat. Jane's precise, organised life is disrupted when sexy younger sister Tess (Malin Akerman) arrives from Europe and immediately captures the heart of George, Jane's boss (Ed Burns). Accommodating Jane is enlisted to plan yet another wedding but there's a serious complication - Jane is secretly and desperately in love with George!
.
A cliche typical Hollywood romance-comedy movie. I guess it must be pretty sad to be always a bridesmaid, but never a bride. But well, the main character in the movie goes to the extreme to being 27 times bridesmaid! I must say that it is pretty enjoyable watching Jane and Tess (her sister) battle it out over George, and watching Jane getting jealous but helpless! Well, in the end she did get married, but I shall not reveal who the person was. A good movie to watch with your love ones~
