Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Synopsis: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" is the final adventure in the Harry Potter film series. In the much-anticipated epic finale, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe until Voldemort is defeated. But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with the evil Lord Voldemort. It all ends here. [Source: Yahoo! Finally, the finale of the longest movie series spanning 10 years. Stakes and naturally, expectations are high. I feel the movie is average, nothing as spectacular as Transformer, but at least, everything is coming to an end with the death of the all evil Lord Voldemort. To all Harry Potter fans, this movie is definitely not to be miss, but for newcomers, I recommend you give this a skip as you will not understand what the movie is talking about.

It's Cathay Day

Free Popcorn and Coke with every ticket purchased on July 18.
And so, this provide me and *mds* the reason to watch
Synopsis: Based on the Jules Bass book "Headhunters" by Jules Bass, "Monte Carlo" tells the story of a young woman (Selena Gomez), her uptight step sister and her best friend who use their savings for a long anticipated dream trip. When they decide to take a break from their lousy tour and duck into the lobby of a luxury hotel, one of them is mistaken for a spoiled British heiress. Before they get the chance to reveal their true identities they are wrapped up in misadventures and head to Monte Carlo instead. [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]

Well, a pretty average show, with a few funny moments in between. If not for the free popcorn and drink, plus I have already watched Transformer and scheduled for Harry Potter later this weekend, you can consider giving this movie a skip for something else better. The show is a bit ridicules, no matter how bad a travel agency is, do you think they will leave somebody (3 person some more in the case of this movie) behind? The scenery of France is quite nice, so this can be a plus point for this movie. Other than that, you can just sit back and relax to watch these 3 girls road to disaster for impersonation.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Synopsis: "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" features Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) taking his first step into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime. The film centres on the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there is a hidden Transformers weapon that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets. As both Autobots and Decepticons learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft which is hidden in the Moon, both race against each other to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle. [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]

For this film of such epic works, I think anything less than IMAX does not do justice to it. Continuing the second episode of transformers, the fighting battles between the decepticons and the autobots are awesome. However, the new female lead replacing Megan Fox is a drag on the show. Her acting skills are mediocre and she cannot fight for nuts. Minus this little flaw, everything else in the show is great. If you plan to watch this, IMAX is my recommended choice. One last part, the autobots sports cars are fantastic! Too bad, there will be no more transformer 4.
