Bad luck? Or its fate???

Some of us have a peaceful passage through our NS liability, maybe too clam in fact that it has become a boring chore. Some of us have a hell lot of exciting experience, some of us hate them while some of us enjoy it. I just wonder... What happened to me, or more accurately my unit after I am enlisted, was it just fate? Or was it just bad luck?
.
Firstly, its the death of a personnel in my camp. He was not under my battalion, but he is a brigade personnel nevertheless. Maybe you may guess who I am talking about. Yes, it was all over the news. He died of drowning during the POW course. Because of him, I "luckily" managed to escape the POW course, which is a requirement for all scouts to go through. Close shave from death, I guess??
.
Next, it was the news of the death of another Guardsman. He died after going through a qualifying test for the ranger course. Again.... Another death within a few week. Is the Guards curse?? Is my life in danger??? I just wonder....
.
Thirdly, there came along three marons who did not pass their Geography in school. While escaping the Malaysian police pursuit after a daring gun robbery, they actually landed in Palau Tekong!!! WTH!! The unit on standby was activated straight away to seek and capture these three marons. My unit, unfortunately, was next on the standby list. I was recalled, almost activated, almost carrying real bullets seeking real enemies, wearing real bulletproof vests, putting my life in REAL danger. Another misfortune of being in Guards?
.
Now, just a few days ago, the newspaper reported the death of another Army personal during the Army bi-Athlon run. He was non other than my Ex-Brigade commander. He was only thirty plus when he passed away. Life is unpredictable.... Yes, in fact it is..... Why is it happening so often in Guards? Wondering....Wondering...But I will never have an answer to this...
.
Or maybe I should thanks Guards. Without it, I will never get to experience this, never ever to have the chance to meet such good friends in my platoon. Yes! You guy rocks!! :)

Today weather is sooooo niccceeeee

OMG MY ICT LOOKS SO SLACK!!!!!
.
By the way, I am under SP coy....
.

.
.
.
The weather today is so freaking nice, the condition is just right for sleeping, relaxing, idling the time away, that I somehow overslept and end up late for tutorials. WTH.. -.-""" .

.
I don't know why, but I feel I can study better in school, such that I managed to finished my Physic's and Econ's tutorial in 3 hours, comparing with now, sitting in front of my computer, updating blog, surfing net and not concentrating on my study.....I need 3 more hours with the talented VT.......sigh.....
.
I think GZ is also getting stressed up. He somehow printed the wrong Econ's tutorial for today in library and guessed what, he wasted half an hour on that for nothing. Lol

Just some thoughts.......

This week has been rather hectic for me, scrambling for the past few days to try and understand static for its last midterm test. Well, it really doesn't help when all the rest of the modules are also un-understandable.....they just keep teaching more and more topics that is beyond my puny brain's understanding...haha. hai~~ 4 more weeks to go!!!
.
I don't know why but the last few days, I have a sudden crave to listen to Faye Wong's, Sun Yan Zi's and Liang Jing Ru's song.... I used to hate them in the army because there is a person in my bunk that used to play their songs every single day!! No offence hor... :) But well, now i kinda miss them...., especially Faye's 雪中莲 I simply cannot get sick when listening to that song over and over again....
.
Humans are indeed wierd......or rather, is it only me that is wierd???
haha.
Learned one Chinese verse today:"生无彩凤双飞翼,心有灵犀一点通。"

V for Vendetta

"Remember, remember, remember November the 15th..." Hah, this was quite a catchy verse in the movie. Overall, this movie is not bad, talking about a guerrilla terrorist trying to invoke a revolution to overthrow the corrupt government. This movie just makes me wonder, why is it that people tends to abuse the power they wield whenever they are in control of them? Look what happen to dictatorship, namely Hitler, he used it to cleansed his country of people he deemed as a lower cast, which of course are the Jews. "The government should be afraid of its people, and not the other way round." How true, how true.....Now, its there a V in NUS to lead us on a revolution to stop them charging us exorbitant fees??

Stress and strain... Which is more?

Right now, I feel that my whole body is breaking apart...Yes, every inch of my body. I must admit I am getting unfit. I went down to the MPSH today for some long overdue soccer actions. Played for 5 minutes, running frantically around the court like a madman, in exchange for a heavy stitch in between my lungs. Wa.. Thanks man... 5 minutes only and I am like half-dead and want to quit?? OMG!!! UNFIT!!! How am I going to pass "the" test????? Well, anyway, I did scored the only consolation goal for my team. Simply outplayed by the Malays...They must have the inborn soccer genes in them..
.
After that, our saviors arrive to save us from further humiliation. Haha, my classmate's friends came along and the Malays have to play elsewhere. Phew... This is my first game in 1 month. Look what NUS has done to me?!?!?!? Anyway, to summarize, before Ze left, our team are leading 7 - 5. Contributors are .....
Me : 3 goals
My classmate : 2 goals
Ze: 1 goal
Daniel: 1 goal
Lol, well done man, Ze managed to score a great lob over the keeper!!! Haha
.
I managed to kill 2 more mosquitoes in front of my computer a few hours ago..That brings me to....
26 kills so far....

Nanny Mcphee

I think I am getting old. I forgot that it is school holiday now, so suggesting to watch movie in town during weekdays is not such a good idea this week. Oh, I even found one interesting fact. Cineleisure is confirm popular with the crowds. I and Ah Pan went down to try to get a ticket for this show to find that the whole theater is sold out for the 3.15 pm show!! Feeling dejected, we decided to try our luck at Lido, which starts at 3pm. Heaven is on our side, not only did we find that the show is starting 15 minutes late, the theatre is only half-filled. What a huge difference!! So next time, remember to go Lido first, haha.
.
This movie is very entertaining. Definitely worth your money to catch this one. I gave it 4/5 stars. The movie is actually about spoilt brats in a family who drove 17 nannys that is employed by their father to quit the job in 3 days. Haha, imagine eating their own brother as food...Totally insane... No wonder no one wants to look after them. But Nanny Mcphee does not tolerate this kind of nonsense. With a little help from her magic, she can cause the children to have a taste of their own medicine. After being forced to learn proper manners, I find that the children are actually quite intelligent. In order to drive away the bad stepmother that their father is going to marry, they can think of putting arrows on the cushions she is going to sit on, putting frog eggs and a big toad inside the tea pot, electrifying the brass door handle, and throwing catapults of food at her.... Simply funny.... Next week, I am going to watch V for Vendetta!! Yeah.
.
CTW dateline is creeping nearer and nearer.. Crap...

Season drawing to a close?

Amazing, this is the first night in a week that I managed to sleep through the whole night without getting disturbed by mosquitoes!!

Handwriting test....

.
Its up to you to believe if this is true, well, I feel that what the test has revealed...about 60% of them are true....
.
For a graphologist, the spacing on the page reflects the writer's attitude toward their own world and relationship to things in his or her own space. If the inputted data was correct Ng has no white space or margins on a typical sheet of paper. Ng fills up every last inch on the top, right, left, and bottom. Hmmm. If this is true, then Ng has a very aggressive personality toward others and quite frankly lacks a bit of respect for the space and property of other people. I would be surprised if Ng just comes into someone's home and helps himself to a drink in the refrigerator. This can be both an obnoxious personality trait and it can be assertive and effective in getting what you want. There isn't much fear of getting in trouble here, Ng finds plenty of reasons to break the rules and get in trouble. (Okay, perhaps when he was younger, not anymore?) Basically, people with no margins are a handful.
.
Something is incomplete in Ng's life. He feels frustration relating to his physical needs and desires. Somewhere in his life there is some disappointment, non-fulfillment, and interruption. This is very likely to relate to Ng's sexual needs.
.
One way Ng punishes himself is self directed sarcasm. He is a very sarcastic person. Often this sarcasm and "sharp tongued" behavior is directed at himself.
.
Ng is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth. This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. He needs to visualize the end of a project before he starts. he finds joy in anticipation and planning. Notice that I said he plans everything he is going to do, that doesn't necessarily mean things go as planned. Ng basically feels good about himself. He has a positive self-esteem which contributes to his success. He feels he has the ability to achieve anything he sets his mind to. However, he sets his goals using practicality-- not too "out of reach". He has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, he will not take great risks, as they relate to his goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, his self-perception is better than average.
.
In reference to Ng's mental abilities, he has a very investigating and creating mind. He investigates projects rapidly because he is curious about many things. He gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but he soon must slow down and look at all the angles. He probably gets too many things going at once. When Ng slows down, then he becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, he must slow down to do it. He then decides what projects he has time to finish. Thus he finishes at a slower pace than when he started the project. He has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. His mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. He can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Ng can then switch into his low gear. When he is in the slower mode, he can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. He is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.
.
Ng will be candid and direct when expressing his opinion. He will tell them what he thinks if they ask for it, whether they like it or not. So, if they don't really want his opinion, don't ask for it!
.
Ng will demand respect and will expect others to treat him with honor and dignity. Ng believes in his ideas and will expect other people to also respect them. He has a lot of pride.
.
Ng is moderately outgoing. His emotions are stirred by sympathy and heart rendering stories. In fact, he can be kind, friendly, affectionate and considerate of others. He has the ability to put himself into the other person's shoes. Ng will be somewhat moody, with highs and lows. Sometimes he will be happy, the next day he might be sad. He has the unique ability to get along equally well with what psychology calls introverts and extroverts. This is because he is in between. Psychology calls Ng an ambivert. He understands the needs of both types. Although they get along, he will not tolerate anyone that is too "far out." He doesn't sway too far one way or the other. When convincing him to buy a product or an idea, a heart rendering story could mean a great deal to him. He puts himself in the same situation as the person in the story, yet he will not buy anything that seems overly impractical or illogical. Ng is an expressive person. He outwardly shows his emotions. He may even show traces of tears when hearing a sad story. Ng is a "middle-of-the-roader," politically as well as logically. He weighs both sides of an issue, sits on the fence, and then will decide when he finally has to. He basically doesn't relate to any far out ideas and usually won't go to the extreme on any issue.
.
People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially. According to the data input, Ng doesn't write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others.

Underworld : Evolution

I decide to watch this movie because I have seen Underworld 1 before. Just wanted to find out how the movie is going to end. Well, seriously, this movie should not be M-18 rated. In fact, I feel that it should be R-21. Why? WTH, 2 X steamy sex scenes and lots of blood and gore. Too much of it spoils the whole movie. Hmm on the whole, its pretty average, standard Hollywood style, but there is a lot of actions, and well...blood....

Infestation of bugs!!

What a lousy day today. I was first awaken from my dreams by guess what? Mosquitoes!! Not once but twice, at 2am and 6am in the morning. Irritating pests!! How dare you interrupt my dreams!! Grzzz, this got me on my nerves and I decide to terminate its pathetic life by squashing it flat on my bedsheets!! Haha, the 2am mosquito got this fate, but the 6am one manage to escape my clutches. But, no fear, it is awed by my killing aura, decides that there is no meaning in its life and went head on to confront the rotating table fan in my bedroom. I managed to recover its cold corpse at 9am in the morning at the bottom of the fan on the cold hard marble floor. Pathetic.., wish all mosquitoes can just perish and killed into extinction.
.
Ruining my mood for the day, I rushed back to NUS for my CTW. I was late AGAIN. Haha, guess the teacher has already gave up on me. BUT worse was still to come, I forget to insert money into my wallet, so that means that I have no money for lunch!! Bravo!! To think that I have just deposit cash into the bank just a few hours ago. Today is just not the day for me, what have I done to justify this. Please, someone give me an answer......
.
I just screwed my second presentation of CTW this morning. I simply don't know what I am crapping about. I got nervous, stage fright, blar blar blar, to sum it up, I have zero inspiration today. WTF. I wish tomorrow can be better, and how I wish to kill this stupid mosquito that is flying around me now!!!!!!!!!

2 am and what am I doing?

Its not that I like staying up late, but I have just got to finish this lab report that is giving me headaches! It doesn't really help if I have my lab first thing in the morning. After the brain drain, guess what? I have to endure another three hours of lectures. Well, I did what most of the students done best ---- nodding my head off into fantasy land. Looks like I have to self-study again.. hai~ Maybe I have come to the wrong faculty, so stressed up. :(
.
Feeling that attending lecture for today is not constructive at all, well most likely, I am going to sleep in the Econs lecture again, so I might as well not go for it. Something constructive and worth waiting for...... ah ha!! I went over to Suntec with zh to get a peak at the real 18-caret gold World Cup Trophy!! Haha, before this, I can only see the trophy on television, now I can get to see it up close and personal, and get my pictures taken. Yes!! I have seen the trophy before man, have you???
.
Lets hope I will never see line spectra again, which is the one giving me headaches......

MUNICH

This is a very good film directed by Steven Spielberg, at least it is much better than Brokeback Mountain, which is the movie I watch a few days earlier. This movie is actually based on a actual event that happened during the 1972 Olympics. During that event, 7 Israeli athletes are killed mercilessly by 11 Palestinians terrorists. It undermine the deep hatred between Israel and its surrounding Arab countries. These hatred still exists today, as seen by the frequent news reports about suicide bombers blowing themselves off on Israel targets. The Israel will retaliate by sending Apache helicopters to nuke some of the Palestinians "terrorist" structures. This vicious cycle will continue on until god knows when... Back to the movie, it is about what goes on after the 1972 accident. A group of Mossad agents resign their commissions and go deep underground to kill the 11 Palestinians believed to be responsible for the attack on the Israeli athletes. As the targets are removed one by one, these agents actually found out that someone more vicious will replaced the person killed and the subsequent revenge on Israel will be even more disastrous. No matter how many terrorists they killed, someone will replace them. Now, they are the one being targeted to be killed by the terrorists. The hunter has now become the hunted. It dawn on them that what they are doing was for the loyalty to their country or just pure revenge? If it was the latter, it makes them no difference from the terrorists. Fear, hopelessness, despair, lost.... I can see all these in the superb acting skills of the actors. At least I feel that this movie has a plot, definitely worth your money to watch it.

.

On a side note, I finished “流星。蝴蝶。剑”in 4 days? That was a record!! Haha, actually it was speed up by the good plot in the novel. Who would have thought of a trap within a trap? A plan within a plan? Maybe you don't know what I am talking about, but I am sure those who have read the book will know.....

.

I particularly like this verse in the book :

暗无论多么长,光明总是会来的。

Can I see the light at the end of the dark tunnel? Maybe I do, but thats 6 weeks later..lol
