I am really glad that the bond is still sound and strong, and we continue to meet up over dinners for chats and updates even after a year since we graduated. As usual, there are lots of laughter and we continue to talk till Tcc decided to chase us out! Lol
.
So which phone shall be chosen? i-phone vs blackberry. That is the topic for at least an hour.
.
Next meet up agreed shall be at..."Muthu's Curry"! Hmm shall we set the date at...early August, before school starts again?

Ip Man 2

Synopsis: In this sequel, Ip Man (Donnie Yen) arrives in Hong Kong in 1949, only to discover that martial arts schools there operated like triads rather than more respectable institutions. His efforts to teach his Wing Chun discipline is fraught with poverty and meets resistance from Master Hung (Sammo Hung), a fellow kungfu master who runs a fish market and is being bullied by the British authorities. However, he takes solace in his bright student Leung (Chen Dao Ming) and his loving, patient wife (Lynn Hung @ Xiong Dai Lin). As conflicts brew and tempers flare, an English boxing champ (Darren Shahlavi) insults the Chinese and challenges the whole establishment to an East vs. West showdown, leaving Master Hung and Master Ip to find themselves possible allies. .
Ip Man 2 delivers again, showcasing wing chun's short and swift moves, countering its opponents and hitting them through loop holes exposed. Probably one of the best Kung fu films these days where digital effects are kept to a minimum. The storyline is well written, humorous at parts, portraying Ip Man as a good fighter and a loving father. Too bad though, all that is about Ip Man has been told so I won't be expecting Ip Man 3. A highly recommended film to watch and be mesmerized by Donnie Yen!

Hans Cafe

Dining in Hans makes my blood boil. Although I specifically says not to add in ginger and any forms of onion, the orders came in with everything added. I sounded this to the person bringing in my orders and all she could says is: "I don't know anything" and off she scooted away. What kind of service is this? Han's Marina Square branch, you ought to start teaching your staffs about good service manners!
.
Tomato Sausage Spaghetti
The tomato spaghetti came in ok, but the sausages came in a bit burnt. Overall presentation wise, the dish doesn't appeal to me. It just look like an average dish that can be cook by any hawker on the street, definitely not worth the price to pay for a $11.80 set meal.
.
Pork Congee
Huge in quantity, average in quality. This basically sums up the dish. Made up of egg and mince pork, the chef did manage to get the thickness of the congee correct. At least they are not too thick nor too watery. However, the congee itself is pretty plain, perhaps they can add some soy sauce in it to make it taste nicer?

Iron Man 2

Synopsis: The world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the armoured superhero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armour because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. Inevitably, Stark is pitted against his Russian arch nemesis, Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), and corporate rival Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). Also making their Marvel debuts are Scarlett Johansson as the sexy Russian spy Black Widow, and Don Cheadle, who takes over the role of Colonel James Rhodes from Terrence Howard. [Source: Yahoo! .
What a grand opening, with Iron Man falling from an aircraft and landing into the middle of a stage, to the applause of the masses. This second episode is getting a bit fanciful, with Iron man doing more stuns and more interaction with the public, but I find that the movie is lacking the character development and humour that the first installment packs. Though the fighting scenes is still as good as ever, but deep down, I feel the movie can still be better if they focus more on his problem in dealing with his own looming death caused by the palladium in his heart. Well, Iron Man 3 is definitely on the way, as seen from the thriller at the end of the movie. Heh, Iron Man is getting a brand new heart by discovering a brand new element! That looks easy in the show!

Sakura Cuisine

How long has it been since we last seen each other? 6 months? Time really flies. Meal time was spent on updating past and present events, which unfortunately quickly spiral down to gossips. Well, this is what usually keep the group conversation going right? =p At a colleague suggestion, we decided on Sakura Cuisine as it is firstly halal, and secondly the food there is not bad. For this time round, it is my turn to treat, so luckily, the price of the food this time is not that expensive. *phew* =)
.
You can find the shop located at Far East Plaza Level 5, which up to just recently, I have no idea about its existence at all. Too bad, I rarely went to the building, less to say climbing all the way to the 5th storey.
.
Fried Wanton
Decently nice, with a crispy outer skin. Nothing really special, but eating too much of it will get you a sore throat.
.
Hotplate Beancurd
Minced pork, soft toufu and egg, with some carrots and beans as ornaments. Not a bad dish when eating it hot. Sauce wise is a bit salty, but mixing it with rice will kept you going for more.
.
Mussel with Chilli
This is definitely not the sambal mussel that I know. The chef decided to cook this dish the chinese way. The sauce itself is sweet and hot, with spices, spring onion and small chilli. Quite a unique taste, and the mussels are decently good.
.
Sambal Kang Kong
Nothing special about this dish, the usual that you can get anywhere else.
.
Tomyam Seafood Soup
Finally, a dish that is Thai. The soup is spicy and hot, with a little taste of sourness. To go with the soup are prawns, fishes, mushrooms, potatoes and carrots. Once you start drinking it, the soup is so good that you don't want to stop. Good to drink on a cold day as it can keep you warm, but if the weather is warm and hot like recently, please give this a skip unless you want to have a good sweat out.
