Sami's Curry @ Dempsey

25A Dempsey Road Tanglin Village (Dempsey Hill Green)
.
Finally, I have some time (maybe an hour) to do some blogging before I go back to my HR reflective paper.... So no life right? A get together session with my great ESE class before the mid-term break at Sami's Curry to try out some of the hot Indian delicacy. Prior to trying out the Indian food, I had some reservation as I personally do not like the taste of some of the Indian staffs I had tasted before. Blamed it on the differences in culture, but luckily, my class did not order any of the things I do not like. Hah~
.
I particularly love their lime juice and their fish head curry, and I strongly recommend that it is a must try dish if anyone ever goes there. The lime juice was quite concentrated and rich in favour, definitely not the diluted kind that you get in most of the restaurant. For the fish head curry, in my opinion, it was not too spicy, and believe me, once you get started, you will not feel like stopping until you have finished the whole dish. The curry was rich in favour and have an additive after taste that makes you crave for more. Mixed it together with the branyani rice to attain a heavenly taste.

.After the hot curry was some chill out session at RedDot, before we pick ourselves up (rather unwillingly) for home. Luckily, I still have buses back to the far far East.

.
A realistic film taking a peek into the daily life and slums of India, showing how children are making a living to make ends meet and their extremely unhealthy slum living conditions. Common vices such as gangs, drugs and their operation are also dipicted. The cast system and their untolerance towards other religions are shown in the movie. In summary, it would say that the movie is realistic, touching and by taking a life journey though the main character, Jamal Malik, will simply blow you away. A must watch and its no wonder it just swept 8 awards in the 81st Academy Awards.
