Beautiful Girls

Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls
.
Very nice song!!
.
[Chorus:]
You're way too beautiful girl
That's why it'll never work
You'll have me suicidal, suicidal
When you say it's over
Damn all these beautiful girls
They only wanna do you dirt
They'll have you suicidal, suicidal
When they say it's over

[Verse 1:]
See it started at the park
Used to chill after dark
Oh when you took my heart
That's when we fell apart
Cause we both thought
That love lasts forever (lasts forever)
They say we're too young
To get ourselves sprung
Oh we didn't care
We made it very clear
And they also said
That we couldn't last together (last together)

[Refrain:]
See it's very divine, you're one of a kind
But you mash up my mind
You have to get declined
Oh Lord...My baby is driving me crazy

[Repeat Chorus]

[Verse 2:]
It was back in '99
Watchin' movies all the time
Oh when I went away
For doin' my first crime
And I never thought
That we was gonna see each other (see each other)
And then I came out
Mami moved me down South
Oh I'm with my girl
Who I thought was my world
It came out to be
That she wasn't the girl for me (girl for me)

[Repeat Refrain and Chorus]

[Verse 3:]
Now we're fussin'
And now we're fightin'
Please tell me why
I'm feelin' slighted
And I don't know
How to make it better (make it better)
You're datin' other guys
You're tellin' me lies
Oh I can't believe
What I'm seein' with my eyes
I'm losin' my mind
And I don't think it's clever (think it's clever)
You're way too beautiful girl
That's why it'll never work
You'll have me suicidal, suicidal, suicidal...

881: The Papaya Sister

Movie plot: "The Papaya Sisters" tells the story of two childhood friends who grew up mesmerised by the glitz and glamour of 'Getai' and dream of one day performing on the 'Getai' stage. After being blessed by the Goddess of 'Getai', they become the most sought-after pair of 'Getai' singers ever. Unbeknownst to them, rival sister group The Durian Sisters have become intensely jealous of the Papayas' success, and are determined to trip them up by messing with their schedule. With the help of their gangster Godfather, the Durians succeed in shutting the Papayas out of many 'Getai' performances. Await the musical battle where both sides pull out all the stops to win over the audience!

Went to watch this show with my family about a week ago. Frankly speaking, amidst all the hypes reported by the newspaper saying how good this show was, I decided to keep my expectation low when I entered the cinema. After going through 110 minutes of the show, I say that the whole movie is totally crap and not worth watching at all. Though it speaks mostly of Hokkien, and attempts to mimic Moulin Rouge style of filming, it totally lost at its plot. It got to the point that it just irritates me to continue watching. The only good point I find in this show is their massive usage of Getai songs. It kinds of reminds me when I am a child, listening to those Hokkien songs played by my parents. Well, what to do? 怀旧嘛。。。

Evan Almighty

Movie plot: Newly-elected to Congress, Evan leaves the city of Buffalo and herds his family to suburban northern Virginia. Once there, his life turns upside-down when God appears and commands him to build an ark. However, his befuddled family just cannot decide whether Evan is having an extraordinary mid-life crisis or is truly onto something of Biblical proportions.
.
Overall, the movie is not really impressive, but watchable. If you are finding one to have a good laugh at, I will recommend this to you. Besides being just a vehicle for Jim Carrey to make an ass of himself with his juvenile humour, it has a proper plot and a rather inspiring message about faith and trust in God. What really got me interested in this movie is the hiring of the huge amount of variety of animals for casting in this show, highly recommend at in Universal Studio, Los Angeles. Haha~

Taiwan Day 2

Dated: 18/8/2007
.

Yup, as you can guess from the pictures, we struck lottery! We are actually caught in the midst of a typhoon! Well, at least this trip we had an experience that most other people don't have. Hmm, who have experience a typhoon before? Raise up your hands!

Typhoon or no typhoon, we will still go and visit 国父纪念馆

Singapore Sentosa's food? How come I don't know any of the dishes?

Taiwan Day 1

Dated: 17/8/2007

.

After a boring 13 hours flight from Los Angeles, of which I managed to finish watching 2 movies (._.)! we finally arrive at Taibei! Haha, at long last, we can stretch our stiff legs and get off the plane to do some exercise~*yeah*

. See, Taiwan welcomes us! (or actually, it is the money that we will bring to its economy~)

Rosemerry Hotel - which was unexpectedly posh for the price we pay. We actually had a Jacuzzi to our room! However, amidst all the fun and joy we had, I am struck with some mis-fortune during our travelling. Ever since I got down from the Los Angeles airport, my luggage handle broke on me. When I came down from 桃园国际机场, my luggage leg broke on me! I was like WT*?? How am I going to drag my heavy luggage all the way to the hotel? However, I believe 有志者事竟成, I shall endure.....
.
The State of my poor luggage
The broken handle
The broken leg
The broken zip
The broken stand
In another words, my luggage was totally utterly cui~
Some interesting discovery, they actually had a quota on the maximum number of people allowed in a building.
Their Metro system, which was very impressive and efficient, just like Singapore!

Los Angeles Day 5

Dated: 15/8/2007
.
What is next after visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Of course, it is time to visit the Warner Bros studio. Unfortunately, we had to order our ticket first before hand somewhere as they limit the amount of tours into their studio daily. With time not on our side, we had to contempt with taking pictures outside the studio.

Los Angeles Day 4

Dated: 14/8/2007
.
Waking up early again the next morning, we proceed to explore the rest of LA, more precisely The Hollywood Walk of Fame~ However, I am quite disappointed when I reach the place as it was not as glamorous, not as lively, not as beautiful, and not as posh as what I thought it would be. Nevertheless, I make do with it and proceed on to enjoy the rest of the trip.

I just wonder.. Who is this joker??

Where is the water coming from?? Ghostly tap indeed~
Butterfly wing art
Alien species No 1. Eeks!!
This man actually survive the ordeal! Amazing~!
