It has been a long while

How long has it been, since we last met? Let me recall.... Since ....6 months ago? Time really flies, it seems like yesterday that we just got to know each other from FUGA, then becoming counsellors for SERVAL. It seems like yesterday that I just got into university and have all the time in the world to go outings every few weeks. And now, looking around, some of us are graduating already. Time really flies....
.
Anyway, GZ, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
.
Thanks to Fabian for organizing this outing, gathering people from FUGA, SERVAL and STAINBOY. Went down to NYNY to have our dinner, but well, most of them are late.... H@iZ, they just can't change the bad old habit huh? =p Hmm, one comment though for NYNY: For the price, its not worth eating in there. Astons serve cheaper and better food... *bleah* But well, its the company that counts~ =) Really have a good time catching up with you guys and gals.

Haha, GZ, take care for your exotic grad trip~ =) Till next time, you still owe me one meal~ =p

~The hair is really great =)~

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Synopsis: Indiana Jones is enjoying a quiet life teaching before being thrust back into his old adventuring. He races against agents of the Soviet Union for the crystal skull. His journey will take him across New Mexico, Connecticut, Mexico City and the jungles of Peru, as well as the warehouse from the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark", where numerous treasures including the Ark of the Covenant are kept safe by the US government. [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]
.
I only have one word to say: "Awesome!!!" No wonder they took 10+ years to find a good enough plot to cast the final adventure of Indiana Jones. There are plenty of fights and escape scenes that will keep viewers intrigued as Indiana cross swords with the Soviet KGB. He just can't seem to die as he dodged bullets after bullets and maneuver around all the dangers. One scene that left a deep impression in my mind will be the escape attempt of Indiana from a Atomic Bomb test. Imagine hiding in a lead fridge?? A "Lead" fridge in the middle of a dead town?? *lol* Enjoy the beautiful mushroom head cloud afterwards. With aids from the computer CGI, this brings the movie to another level, particularly so towards the end of the movie with the alien encounter.
.
Despite all its good, I find that the pace of the movie is moving too fast as Indiana tackle past ancient puzzles and riddles at amazing speed. Sometimes, I just can't get how did he arrive at such a conclusion. Well overall, I find this not a bad movie to watch. A worthwhile recommendation from me.

What lover are you??

Your Score: The Devoted Lover

72% partner focus, 33% aggressiveness, 45% adventurousness

Based on the results of this test, it is highly likely that:

You prefer your romance and love to be traditional rather than daring or out-of-the-ordinary, you would rather be pursued than do the pursuing and, when it comes to physical love, your satisfaction comes more from providing a wonderful time to your partner than simply seeking your own.

This places you in the Lover Style of: The Devoted Lover.

The Devoted Lover is a wonderful Lover Style, and is perhaps the best Lover Style when it comes to developing a long-term, caring and rewarding relationship. The Devoted Lover is a treasure to find, though it is sometimes difficult to time establishing a relationship with one just right; usually, this is the last romantic relationship you'll need to find, so sow any wild oats first.

In terms of physical love, the Devoted Lover can be shy at first but gradually warms and eventually can be a thrilling partner who knows every need of his/her partner. Given a strong and loving relationship, and the right lover, the Devoted Lover can be a delight in bed.

Best Compatibility can probably be found with: The Suave Lover (most of all) or the Classic Lover, or the Carnal Lover.

Congratulations!

Exchange

Begone the old and welcome the new. Like any electronic devices, they tend to spoil when the two year time frame is up. The same goes to my current model. Better quickly trade it in before it dies out on me~ Oh well, lately, it keeps refusing to charge even though the power is on....
.Bye my V3i, rest well, you have serve me well these years

And welcome, Razr 2 V9!!

.

Went to the CAC+US 08 yesterday to support Pok and Seb. These two guys really dance very well in their items. Seb showing off his sexy cha-cha while pok giving his all for the energetic hip-hop. The performance was very well done, except for the Voices. They really should not sing F.I.R songs. Not only were they not “放”enough, they also couldn't touch me. I just feel that they are there singing for the sake of singing, trying their best not to go off-key only. Oh well....This shouldn't have happened right? Considering that they are supposed to be the best in their CCA??

Three Kingdoms: Resurrection Of The Dragon

Synopsis: His country torn asunder by civil war, Zhao (Andy Lau), a commoner, heeds the call of duty. From the humblest of roots, he rises through the ranks on wings of courage to command an army charged with liberating the land from an evil warlord. Inspired by action, honour and a dream of unifying his divided nation, Zhao's heroism becomes a legend. But as the years pass and the throne changes hands, the war still rages on. When a newly enthroned king decides peace can only be achieved by defeating the warlords once and for all, Zhao embarks on his final and greatest campaign - a road to adventure that will crown his name in glory for all time. [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]
.
An average war movie at the most, as I find that the war fighting scene are still not spectacular enough. In this movie, the director attempts to depict the three kingdom history through a lesser known general: Zhao Yun, played by Andy Lau. Though the history is a bit distorted by the movie, nevertheless, the important events in history are all clearly said out and followed through in the movie. So, even if you are a noob at history, you still will not get lost when watching this movie. A plus point for it. A memorable scene in the movie was how Cao Ying (Maggie Q) and Zhao Zilong (Andy Lau) trade psychological warfare. I shall not say much now, less this review become a spoiler. A good movie to watch to pass time though.

Kings of Europe

Yes!! Finally, after waiting for almost a decade, Man Utd has finally reached the finals of Champion League and win it!!!!!!! To add to the sweetness of victory, it was at the expense of Chelsea!! Yeah!! Sweet revenge. Hurray to Man Utd!! Whaha, Abramovich listen here, this shows that money cannot buy you anything you want in football! It is the talent and the manager that counts!!
. The winner is born the moment Anelka miss his spot kick!!
There are 3 players in the yesterday match that I think deserve special mention for helping Man Utd to clinch their only third Champion League title so far. First and foremost,
C. Ronaldo for scoring the first goal with a well placed header. His presence on field was a constant terror to the opposing defense. I am sure Essien will be particularly sure what I meant. Secondly,
Vidic, for successfully shutting out Drogba for the entire match. Well done!! Thirdly, of course,
The Flying Dutchman for saving the all important spot kick that ended Chelsea dreams!! Woot~ However, I am pretty disgusted by the way Chelsea played yesterday night. Not only were they unsporting, claiming pain and injury the moment Man Utd counter attack (Yes I am talking about you Makelele), they are also always complaining to the referee, trying to influence his decisions, particularly these two person below:
Ballack and
Drogba, always complaining non-stop, be it a foul or no foul, claiming that he got pushed, want a non-existence corner be awarded to him and of course plenty of diving. A justified and deserving red card to you for slapping people! Hah. And all these antics shown on field by their players just caused my disgust for Chelsea grow even deeper!! Nevertheless, Man Utd held on to become

A great match, down to the last penalty kick =)

~Welcome back hehe =D~

The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian

First of all, I would like to thank Nuffnang for giving me the free pair of premiere tickets to watch this fantastic movie at Bugis Junction. Nuffnang Rocks!! =) The picture below sure show my heartfelt feelings towards them~ *grinz* Thanks again to Nuffnang and all its staffs. I hope there will be more of this events in the future. =)

Synopsis: A year after their first adventure in Narnia, the Pevensie siblings (Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy) are pulled back in by Susan's magic horn. They find that hundreds of years have passed and Narnia is now ruled by the bloodthirsty General Miraz, uncle to the true heir, Prince Caspian, who is now in exile. The children must find Caspian and help him get rid of Miraz. [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]
.
What a fantastic movie it is. There was never a moment I felt bored!! The storyline itself was pretty general - 4 children coming back to Narnia once again to help a prince, who is the true heir, to snatch back the throne from his bloodthirsty uncle. What draw my attention was really the fantastic computer aided graphics of the mystical creatures and the massive battle scene at the end. People who have not watch the first Narnia may be a little lost because there are several links to the first movie in the storyline, but that is not very important. At most, you just didn't get a complete picture, that's all. =p The little humour here and there in the movie also adds points to it. Imagine, the huge bulky Minotaur going "shhhh" to the enemy?? *lol* In addition, I also kind of like the "cute" little mouse go dancing around like the 3 musketeers. Sadly though, from what the movie is going, there won't be a third Narnia. Well, a good movie to watch, nevertheless.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Another much awaited film coming out in May!! After watching the trailer for this movie, I don't think I will want to give this a miss. Set in the fantasy land of Narnia, filled with lots of great mystical creatures and battle-besieged extravaganza, the computer aided graphics just wowed me over. It was just like seeing Lords of the Ring (yes, that kind of standard) over again. A must watch for all fantasy lovers! Oh man, I can't wait for the movie to release!!

A sad world

It kind of makes me pretty sad to see all these disasters striking one country after another...First, it was the hurricane that swept through several states of USA, destroying all that stands in its way, leaving a trail of destruction. Next was the cyclone that tear through Myanmar, leaving the whole country crippled. Its junta doesn't seem able to manage the situation and yet, stopped and reject all kinds of helps offered, leaving its people out cold and suffering. Now, the 7.9 Earthquake that strikes China, leaving 12000 dead and 18000 missing. What is the world coming to???

It is said that there are over 70,000,000 blogs in existence. This is an experiment to see how long it will take to get 1,000,000 blogs to list themselves on our site. The site started on April 10th, 2008.
Stumbled upon this site and I was quite interested in the time frame it will take for the experiment to complete. My guess will be 3-6 months. Whats yours? Welcome to the power of Internet. Come in and join in the growing statistic! *lol*

Future Openings

My IA company is thinking of developing water and wastewater treatment and testing in 1 - 2 years time. One of the heads just commented to me that if I can't find any better jobs when I graduate, I can consider giving them a call. If the plan really proceeds, there should be a few positions available. Well, any possible takers??

Doomsday

Synopsis: Authorities brutally quarantine a country as it succumbs to fear and chaos when a virus strikes. The literal walling-off works for three decades - until the dreaded 'Reaper' virus violently resurfaces in a major city. An elite group of specialists, captained by Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra), is urgently dispatched into the still-quarantined country to obtain a cure by any means necessary. Shut off from the rest of the world, the unit must battle through a landscape that has become a waking nightmare. [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]
.
The preview looks interesting at first but upon watching the movie, I find it not as entertaining and good. The plot is just typical: A virus has struck and there will be this new hero out there to venture into hostile territory and find a cure to save the world. Fullstop. The draw / selling point of this movie (to me) is just pure senseless violence, blood spilling everywhere, human flesh splashing around and gore. If you are the one that like this kind of things, I must say this movie will definitely be the movie for you. Otherwise, it kind of get pretty boring sometimes and perhaps some others will get turn off upon seeing the violence. To sum it up, give this movie a miss if you can.

Pre-synptoms

Downright, I knew something must be wrong. Besides not being my usual self as I got on the bus to head home, I start being too sensitive and keep turning my head around to check the surroundings.. I feel wierd, my head started feeling light and my vision start seeing those white flashes of statics lines. Wierd isn't it?
.
Manage to get myself home nonetheless. Then, 5 minutes later, the first outrage came... It was kind of in-between, which was also wierd...What is wrong with me??
.
Second outrage at 930am. What luck, just 51 hours from my final paper..

Ironman

Synopsis: Billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) makes weapons for the U.S. government. While testing of one of his inventions, he is wounded, captured and forced to make weapons for the enemy. Instead, he fashions himself a crude power armour to save his life and facilitate his escape. When he returns home, he revises his armour and finds purpose as the Armoured Avenger, Iron Man! [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]
.
Hoho, in summary, this is by far the best movie I have ever seen this year. Promising lots of fast and furious actions, with a little humour mixed in between, the director really scores well for this. Plot wise, I would consider it decent (hey, this is the first movie this year I have considered it having a decent plot), though not one of the better ones I have seen so far. Details wise, I shall spare it as I don't want to be a spoiler, but I shall comment that things are not what they seem to be on the surface, and the movie shall reveal and straighten them out towards the middle part.
.
Getting off to a slow start for the first ten minutes, the audience will be plundge thick into action thereafter, and the pace and intensity will continue on until the very end. There was never a dull moment and audiences will be treated to an eye feast to all the gadgets and technology that can be packed into the metal body. The final battle match between Ironman and its copycat prototype was just as breathtaking. A must watch movie if you like actions and of course, superheros.

Aha, the weather

The first fortnight of May 2008 should see a continuation the current weather pattern of alternating wet and dry periods. We still expect a few hot days with higher than average daily temperatures. The winds over Singapore are mostly light and blowing from the Southeast or Southwest. For most places, rainfall is likely to be lower than average.
[Source: National Environment Agency]
.
Oh well, its kind of getting stuffy and difficult to sleep at night. I am even sweating here as I am typing away at 1am? *Arghz* A "few" hot days huh...We shall see about that....
.
Global warming is coming!! Help!!
