Outing

I am really asking for it man, 3 outings in three days, with different groups of people?? Wow~~ ok, I admit it, I am still in holiday mood, up till now, I still don't feel like sitting down and do my tutorials.... Well, most of them are not the weekly type, except for two modules. The LSM module don't have tutorial class at all(Yeah!), the infrastructure has only 3 tutorial sessions, the arts gem only has 2 sessions, and the universe module is bi-weekly. Haha, that is a grand invitation for me to slack off man!
.
Pot luck (NOT pork-lard like someone from my class wrote...*faint*)
.

A delicious spread of food....

Watching "Scary movie 3" and "Team America" That puppet show is simply funny la....Making a dig at America's politics......

Oh my gosh, I think I am going to fall in love with GEK 1001 lecturer. He is so damm good lah. For the 2nd time in a roll, he has managed to humor us to the point that I did not feel sleepy (yes, not even once) in his lecture! What have he done today in lecture? Well, for a start, he let us listen to some patriotic song by Kit Chan and Tanya Chua! Hah, that will keep anyone awake le. For the next half an hour, he showed us some of the maps of Singapore drawn by us, students in his last lecture! You will be amazed by what we have drawn!! LOL. Pulau Tekong covered in a sea of "@#%@^#$&" for the guys......There is also the map of Singapore connected by "PIE,TPE,SLE,BKE,CTE,AYE" only??? *faint* Someone also managed to draw out the whole MRT line system, which I highly suspect that it is the route that the person take everyday on his/her way home. LOL. Lastly, someone tried to be funny by handing in a small scrap of paper measuring 2cm by 2cm showing the outline of Singapore?? I really laugh my ass off when he showed us those stuffs la. More to come, there is also the singlish words that he showed us. Try to guess their meanings.....
1. gorges
Eg: That lady is gorges lahz!!
2. Thermometer
Eg: Thermometer in taka, can??
3. Canopy
Eg: He got himself a new handphone, canopy!!!!!!
4. Dam
Eg: That is dam NICE!
5. Valley
Eg: He valley the **** (opps)

Mentally drained

I don't know why but today I feel super shag mentally. For a start, the 8am Biochemisty lecturer was going at full speed, and I simply cannot make any head or tail of all the names of the enzymes. Next, its a rush for my arts gem at LT11. Not bad though, the lecturer was amusing enough to entertain us so that I am awake for the whole one and a half hour(that was a record!). Next, we were urshered for some more briefing and refreshment at 1130, but we gave up halfway because they are mostly talking about majoring in Geography. Haha actually, we were aiming at the refreshment only :P Surprise, surprise, so many people I know are taking this module! I found Lijun, ernnie, jason , peiqian, pok and minghui! LOL. Went to meet LT at Olive Clove at 1pm for lunch. The 2pm Statistic and Probability lecture was the worst. It was so dry that I fall asleep 5 minutes into the lecture and waked up like 25 minutes later to the vibration of my phone from GZ sms? Bleah. Brain dead.......

Hmm maybe understanding the universe isn't so bad after all, haha Orion and Scorpius looks so cool!!
.

Yes!! Finally my GSS(Great Shopping Spree) has come to an end. I have finally gotten all that I wanted. My splurge shall end as of today! Muhahaha, a little update on my 3.5 months financial budget??
.
Hmm, lets see:
Total income: $ 3192.85 (not bad, hmmm)
Total expenses: $ 3103.23 (O_O)
.
Ok so that means effectively I have not saved anything at all this semester! LOL, well done, but who cares? 开心就好!!!
.
Damm, now my skin are starting to peel off from the sunburn.....恶心死了。。。。

Lousy timetable

Duh, I am screwed. Sleeping early doesn't help at all! In the end, I overslept and opened my eyes to find that the alarm clock hands showed 0700? Rushed down and only reached NUS LT7 at 0845. Haha.
.
Maybe I should not even go to school today... The moment the lecture ends, the sky turned dark and torrents of rain started falling. Thanks lor, now I cannot even go home le. Waited around for half an hour and my classmates decided to brave the rain using the small umbrella that they had. In the end, half of my body was totally drenched. Argzzz
.
I am going broke from buying books..... So far,
Hydraulic fluid Mechanic - $33.90
Biochemistry - $50
Infrastructure - $9
Understanding the Universe - $25(2nd hand) or $50(from the Co-op)
Place society and env - Don't know yet.
Total spent: At most $142.90. NUS sucks!
.
Best of all, they decided to change the Physic book, so that I cannot even sell it at all? &%%(($
EDIT
Great, now I also cannot sell my POE textbook, they changed to another book......

1st day

*yawnz*
Why do I have to go to school today?? The infrastructure lecture was still okay, but the moment Hydraulic lecture came along, I wanted to kill someone lah! So many formulas and weird symbols, someone save me!
.
Understanding the Universe at ulu Science LT32 was not much better, not that the timing was any good. A 4pm - 6pm lecture was an ideal condition for sleeping monster to attack, with the help of the boring lecturer. Sigh~~ This is only the first day lor~
.
Think I shall sleep early today le, tomorrow got a 8am Biochemistry lecture at LT7. BIO?? OMG, I only have a secondary 2 standard lahz........

Sunday, August 13, 2006

Wow

I don't believe I am printing a lecture note that has a size of 461Mb??? That is nuts la, my computer almost hang on me. Luckily, I managed to pull it off without any error, but the whole process took 40 minutes.....

Recollections

11/8/2006 (Friday)
.
I cannot get to sleep no matter how hard I try. The reason: Too much red bull after my IPPT test....Spent my time Msning till 4am in the morning, after which, I toss and roll around in bed until 8am. Grrr, next time, remind me not to drink two cans of red bull in one day.
.
Slowly made my way down for the CHESS O Week. I am quite shock that they decide to increase the intake of Year 1 freshies to 48, which means two classes? Haha I thought all along, we are the special ones, holding the record of having the least number of students in a Engine Major, staying all the way in the same class throughout the four years, which is quite good because we can discuss our tutorials together and all hand in the same answer in the end. Haha, to hell with plagiarism!
.
The whole afternoon was spent on hearing talks given by our department head, blah blah blah the usual stuffs. I am going to die next semester la, all the Civil modules, which I hated to the core! After which, we proceed down to SRC for some game actions. The whole thing ended at around 6pm. Did I tell you I have one scary junior?? Hmph.....
.
My parents pangseh me and go watch the firework festival on their own, taking my camera along with them!! Nooo0..... :(
.

Presenting to you, the whole of Environmental Science Engineering

.

Above firework display were done by Team New Caledonia

.

12/8/2006 (Saturday)

.

I am out of my house for virtually the whole day today. Met up with PW, ZH, XR for some K session, from 11am to 2pm, after which I rushed down to have my weekly soccer session with all my soccer buddies. Haha, it felt so shiok, I can feel my stamina has improved after my twice a week run around my neighbourhood to prepare for my IPPT test! Luckily I passed!!! Ok, I have the license to nua for another year liao. opps. Haha. Suddenly I feel like going to the last firework festival today by Team France. Heard form my parents that yesterday display was quite good. Since its the last event for the year, why not? Managed to jio Geraldine to go with me. Haha. By the time I left my house, it was 7.15pm. I swear I could make it to cityhall at 8pm, if not for the Bus 29 uncle, who drove so slowly that he took 20 minutes to drive me to the interchange? Thanks lor, so in the end, I was, well late again. Sigh~ The crowd at cityhall was well.....jam packed! I have never seen so many people in the citylink in my whole life! As we slowly made our way down to the Esplanade and found the best spot we can possibly get at the point of time (the best spot were all taken up le, we don't have any chance at all to squeeze into the crowd), one family of Indian decided to pop his children on the back of his shoulder for a better view, very "effectively" blocking our view!!!!! Grr, thanks lor, thats why I never like Indians.....bleah. Ok we have to jostle around a bit for another spot le.

.

The display by France was very very good!!! I like their fairy-star kind of firework, its so Disney like, and they managed to light up the whole sky in GOLD!! The view was so ~wow~ Although there are trees in front blocking my view, whatever I have seen has justified my reason for coming there le. No photographs though, the place where I stood block out almost 3/4 of the high altitude firework. For once (and only once), how I hope the ministry will chop down all the trees lining the waterfront area.........

.

After that, we walked to the Fullerton because I wanted some photographs of the hotel. So far, I still don't have any collection of the hotel in its night ambience. Hehe, Lumix is still better when it comes to night mode :P

.

.

We wanted to go somewhere to chill out while waiting for the crowd to thin, but the shops in Raffles City all close at around ten plus, hmm in the end, after walking around a while more, we decided to go home. LOL the crowd still looked the same as one hour earlier la. So its still a tight squeeze back on the train...... -.-'

Ding Tai Feng is such a sensitive word to me nowadays. Everywhere I go, I am seeing them. People are also talking about them, why?????

Sentosa Day

I thought at first, how am I going to survive the whole day at Sentosa since there is only the few handful going? Of all I know, there will only be Me, Perry, Guan Ze, Marilyn, Fabian, Seb, Beng and Lijun, of which GZ will be very late cause he has a overnight mahjong session. Beng will only come around lunch time. That leave only the 6 of us? What can we do? I also wonder...
.
This time, I am not the one that is late. Surprise?? Hah, I slept early yesterday at 11pm just so that I can wake up early lor. In the end, the person who is late is Perry!!! He overslept... -.-' We reached Habourfront at around 1040 and Marilyn looked quite pissed. Hmm think the people who are late (that is us) better apologized first..... Anyway, how come there is a flood of blacks the moment we come out of Habourfront station? Blanga, Ah nehs.... You name it.... They are everywhere!! Scary lor.....
.
Into Sentosa we went, and we kind of wonder: "Eh, funny, where did all the blacky go?" We were sitting on the beach tram that time and as we glance to our left, we saw the MASS congregation of blacks inside a building! And guess what? We go:" Ohhhhhhh..." We are super racist la!!! *faint* Never mind, I shall term this day, 9 August as "黑色星期三" LOL
.
Stop at Siloso Beach, we picked a nice spot where there is not many people and started playing Volleyball. Finally, the $38 ball that fabian bought has been put to good use! Haha. Ok we all suck at volleyball, we cannot control the ball at all lahz. After that, it was a 3 on 3 basketball game, where my team lost to Perry, Marilyn and Lijun. *faint* How come their shooting all so zun ka one? I wonder.....
.
While the girls called it quits, we guys, ever energetic, decide to play soccer with the volleyball. My team (Me and Seb) won Perry and Fabian 4-1. Haha, Perry was super sad lahz.... hehe, total football verus counter-attacking football, the latter won. Yippi!! However, when Bengchang came and intervene, luck change for the worst for my team. Don't pray pray with Big Beng lor, he is a very skilled player. The way he play right, I also scared lor. Haha, of course, my team lost and Perry has his revenge.
.
Shag out, we guys also gave in and we sat under the coconut tree doing what group 2 does best: Talk cork and Circle of trust. Haha, Perry so wanted to kill Guan Ze for leaking his darkest secret out to group 6 people. Haha. Scandals, scandals and more scandals.....
.
Sat around and stay in the sun for too long, resulting in my back getting burnt. Now it has the pricking sensation all over my shoulders lahz. Die la, Jeremy just commented that my face looked RED. I think I will look like a red lobster tomorrow, well there goes my image. Should I go for the OC chalet tomorrow at Aloha?? Hmmm
.
Dinner was at Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura. I have a good advice, do not ever try their fish there, its so oily till I feel that I am eating oil and not fish? Argzzz, think that only their St Louis Pork Ribs are the one worth eating.
.
Big Beng decides to go for some walk and we agreed. Walk all the way to Wheellock Starbucks to chill. While we were at Starbucks, Beng and Perry were having a "most" interesting debate on what is the meaning and the difference of truth and absolute truth. I was down there, thinking in my mind:" Oh my gosh, please don't start another philosophy thingy again....." dot dot dot. Almost miss the last train home from Orchard. Luckily we caught it or else.... it will be taxi again lor. I am so broke now, I want my last month pay!! Oh well, 1 more week to go before I buy my new handphone. Haha. Almost (99.9%) decided on the model le.

The fast and the furious: Tokyo drift

Minus the plot, the whole movie will be superbly good. Cars wise, there is a lot more models than Initial D, and they are all so cool!! I simply wow at the selection shown in the movie!! Another plus point for watching the movie: Marvel at the skills of the stun drivers in drifting techniques! How did they manage to film a car drifting up a spiral ramp in a multi-storey carpark?? That is so ~wow~! High speed chase on Tokyo street will also set you on a high, especially with that drifting scene with a ninety degree left turn with humans as the barriers?
.
Too bad, drifting is not allow in Singapore, or else..... hmm ok I don't dare to try it, I don't want to wack my 1st car up.
.
Who is that Japanese cool guy that starts the race between DK and the ang mo at the start of the show? (BTW, DK is not Donkey Kong)

In the house for the sick

Went to visit Justin yesterday at NUH. Somehow, I feel rather bad for not visiting him anytime sooner for the past one week as I am busy working. I heard form some of my friends that his condition got worse after they tried removing the super duper big tube from his lungs. I was praying that nothing serious will happen to him as he has not been replying to my SMS since Thursday.....
.
But walaaa, by the time I saw him yesterday, he was recovering fast!!
.
2 weeks ago:
He was breathless.
He got no appetite to eat.
He was speaking in a whisper.
He cannot laugh or else the pain will kill him.
.
Yesterday:
He is in good spirit.
He can talk real loud now.
He is eating in big big mouthful.
He can joke around and laugh with us.
He is not dependent on any whatever box(I don't know what the box is called) beside him.
.
Conclusion:
He hopes to be discharge by today!! BUT I really doubt it, I think most likely will be tomorrow since they are going to remove the super duper big tube in his lungs today. Justin!! Get well soon~~
.
I was feeling super shag yesterday due to irregular sleeping hours. Only got to sleep at 730am and I have to wake up at 12 noon? After the visit, Ah ze wanted to go Kent Ridge(Don't ever say KR lor, else I will start charging fees for using my initials =p) to *ahem ahem*. By the time we left, it was well pass midnight, in fact it was 1230am in the morning. Lucky still got Bus number 30 to bring me back to bedok, else I will just start killing people off. On my way to the bus-stop, I cannot help but notice what a beautiful night it was. The sky was cloudless, the moon's bright, the sky a deep enchanted blue and the weather was cooling, with fresh air surrounding me. ~Kao~ It has been such a long time since I got the mood to enjoy night scenery? The last one was in Australia three years ago under a starry starry sky in an open field, where the temperature was well below my toleration standard. Hmm. Too bad I don't have any photos to remind me of the sky, I only have my memories...
.
In the end, by the time I got home, the time reads 2am. By the time I hit the bed, it was 1 hour later. Well done! I think this must be the longest entry I have ever write. So sorry people. ~hehe~

Last day

People usually says that your last day at work is the best time to pull out all the stuns that you wish to try in the company, or it is the best time to get back at all the people in your most hated lists. Well, I decide to give it a shot.
.
Stun no 1: Report late for work (actually not that late, only 30 minutes)
Stun no 2: Read newspaper at the sales floor (this kept me occupied until 1530) Haha
Stun no 3: Self declared lunch break with Carol and Desmond (Ate duckrice for an hour)
Stun no 4: This one is by my company.... My sales rep suddenly took a surprise visit on me at 1600. Lucky I am around....Phewzzz. This must be my lucky day . ^_^
Stun no 5: Talk crap and dinner with Guan Ze from 1700 to 2000. (last day liao, who cares?)
Stun no 6: Help rival brand to promote. (my boss is going to kill me when they see this)
Stun no 7: Leave before the official leaving time. (Lol see ya all 4 months later... Bye~~~~)
.
Conclusion: Totally bo chap, heck care, BUT I still hit the sales target!! Total sales of $956.00. ~LOL~

I pray hard that this time, you will succeed in getting the tube removed.
