Why did I only managed to understand what the question is asking in the final 15 minutes?

The paper was not very hard, but seeing 18 marks gone, when others could have easily scored. Why??? Why did my brain not understand it sooner? Why??

This goes my A. I got a feeling that I will only managed a B+ for this.

Really SAD.

14 more hours to my next paper and I still have not start mugging for it yet. I am suicidal. No mood. Sad. Sigh~

2 things I learned today:

Wearing RED does not provide you with any additional luck. It is tried and tested today.

Doing all the past quizzes and papers does not guarantee you a "do-able" final paper.

The lecturer chu stun lahz. Set something that he has never covered in tutorials. Not 1, but 2 out of 4 questions. Ok, luckily everyone else also died with me, so... I think should be all right~

Finally~ My beloved calculator is back!! Engineers simply cannot lived without calculators. Haha, and it is blessed by averii too to counter "the aura" :P

Buckingham

Can Mr Buckingham just enjoy his life in his Buckingham Palace and stop developing his Buckingham Pi Theorem for us to study. Duh... One whole day spent to understand what his theorem is. I hate fluid mechanics.

Unproductive Sunday

Apart from spending one hour to complete tutorial set 9 for the uncertainty module, basically the whole of my Sunday was spent sleeping off on my bed while attempting to read the power series lecture slides. Another 4 hour was spent playing my newly installed FM2007. 我真的不知道死字是怎么写的，exam is already around the corner and I am still playing away? Worse still, I think I am getting addicted to the game. Why did I fall to my brother's temptation and install it in the first place? I think I must stay as far away from my computer from now on. At least Monday is better off, I managed to finish my uncertainty syllabus.

A little ranting before the massacre

I am waiting for my hair to dry at the moment. Might as well blog a little about how I will fare for the modules taken this semester, before I go and sleep for the day, and waking up, 2 hours later for my 追魂交易. Too tired at the moment to post up the pictures taken yesterday when I mug overnight in school. Will do so another time, when I am free. haha. :P

LSM 1401 Biochemistry

What can I say about this? Faced with stiff competitions from the Chemical Engineers, and totally no hope for the questions asked during the exams even though this is an open book exam. Why? You may asked.. Open book must be easy right? Not true, not true, as the answers to the questions is not even found in the book!! I am already prepared to bring a 4 sided dice to try my luck in the exam hall. Either that, I can also put a standard default answer to every question. That will at least safely give me some marks. haha.

Overall feel: B- (3.0)

GEK 1001 Place, Environment and society

Well, this is a Geography module which I took to fulfill my Arts Gem requirement. It is an extreme of teaching style by both lecturers. The lecturer covering human Geography is extremely interesting, able to engage the students well and believe me, you can never fall asleep in his lecture. However, for the lecturer covering the physical part, she is extremely boring and believe me again, you will guarantee fall asleep in her lecture. Overall, I think I will do ok for this module, after seeing the marks allocated to us for the labs and projects. The final exam is a 4 questions essays. That may be a little problem for engineers as they are not as adapt as the Arts people in the art of elaboration. Haha~

Overall: B (3.5)

CE 2184 Infrastructure and the environment

This is a must score module, or else, 你就对不起自己。

CE 2407 Engineering and Uncertainty analysis

I have been condemning this module since the start of the term. To conclude, this a module that attempt to combine 3 Science modules into one for Engineers to study. The 3 separate modules in Science are namely Statistic, Probability and Matrics. *faint* Enough about matrices, the thought of it makes me vomit blood. Should be doing ok with this module, considering the amount of time I have spent understanding the concepts.

Overall: B+ (4.0)

CE 2134 Hydraulic

The killer of all modules. Another name for it is fluid mechanics. Sounds familiar? I am lagging behind by about 7 weeks for this module now, so I don't really have much hope for it.

Overall: B- (3.0)

GEK 1520 understanding the Universe

The tests are all over. Think I should be around the mean. The project is good, thats what I feel, the module is not examinable, which is the best! Haha.

Overall: B (3.5)

My brain is drained. First, the answer key is wrong, then I copied the formula wrongly. It does matter between i and i+1 la. freaking matrix!!! Total time spent solving 1 question, which I think it will kill everyone off if it comes out in the finals: 5.0 hours. Yes this is the time I took today to get the formulation of formula right. The iterations next took another 45 minutes. there is 20 iterations to do and the 45 minutes spent only allowed me to finish 2/20 of them. Crap.... Is and Js...Just let me die....

Trauma

The time read 855am and I have just alighted at the science bus-stop for my term test which began somewhere like 830am?!?!? I swear I did leave my house early today and could have reached the test venue somewhere around 840am, BUT, there was a freaking jam on the Bona Vista flyover! You know what caused the jam? It's the super fast green turning arrow which only stays on for like 10 seconds? What the hell?? I am rushing for time and it is the peak period. Can't the transport authority just tune the arrow to make it stays on for a longer period of time? Argzzz, I am stuck for 15 minutes there. Grrrrr! The professor specifically stated that NO ONE should arrived later than 9am, or else... I refused to think further. Luckily for me, I reached the venue at...859am and managed to finish the test in 20 minutes. Lucky indeed. If this is an engine paper, I think I am a goner.

BUT when I went in at 930am, the lecture is declared finished!! What the hell happen?? Argzzz, I came in so early for what, when he only spent 10 minutes going through the last conclusion for the module. Best of all, he did not even put up any advance announcement for the stun he is pulling off today. AND I thought my classmate is pulling a trick on me when they tell me the lecture ended already.

BUT by the time I got there, which is only about 10 minutes later, the person at OSA says the exam pack is all given out!! What?!?! Unwilling to give up, I try my luck at the next station, which is the Career Office. Same Answer. My last hope, the Student Service Center. Same Answer again.

I thought that they are only joking when they suggest going to Vivo City to have dinner to celebrate the end of this project. When the bus to Harbor Front came, I am STUNNED to see all of them going up. Aren't we joking only? Apparently not.. Hmmm.

After touring Vivo City for 45 minutes, we still cannot have our dinner. Why? Because we choose the wrong timing to visit Vivo City!! Everywhere we go, there is hordes of people and the queues at all the food stores are so "extraordinary" long!! In the end, we settle ourselves at the Harbor Front Hawker Center. -.-! Hai~ If only we went to Clementi instead~
