ESE 5404 Biological Treatment Process

Yesterday shall mark the start of my preparation for the paper. So far for this module, I am glad that I got quite a "wonderful" lecturer, though seemingly lazy at times, but definitely is not strict in giving marks to students. That I thank him. Oh well, this module is not easy to grasp, as we have to deal with designing parameters this time round. The whole lot of things to consider is enough to drive you crazy just for that 30 marks. 1 paper, to make or break, 7th May.

Site Survey

Oh my, this must be one of the worst ventilation system I have ever seen. Sealed air intake point, think up to 90% of the air is recirculated; no filters of any sorts, no wonder people are suffering. Hopefully I can get the nod to go ahead with the test. I would like to find out the carbon dioxide concentration in the room to prove my suspicion. Hopefully, it will be above 1000ppm...*oops* I think the Operation Manager thinks I am a consultant.... haha, I don't dare to tell him that I am in fact... a student~ That, I think will most likely freak him out~

Scary

I can't believe this. I thought that it is just a causal problem that would not have any follow-up. So I just give my view that the sickness symptoms maybe due to either a virus outbreak, or some problem with the air circulating system (other wise known as the sick building syndrome). I sure hope its not the latter, or else there will be quite a lot of problem to find out the root of the cause. To think that I will actually be going down to the site for a survey this Thursday! I am just a student, hmm any professionals to help me out?? So scary!!!

Forbidden Kingdom

What do you expect, a combination of two heavenly martial arts stars, Jet Li and Jackie Chan in a single movie, must watch right?? Expects lots of fast and furious fighting scene (which the movie duly delivers), and the two stars battling it out with each other on martial arts and of course Jackie (the funny guy) always suaning Jet Li (the serious guy). I almost have a hard time trying to control my laughter at the cinema. One thing that kind of disturb me though is the mix of Chinese and English in the movie. Imagine old ancient time in China, and the people can speak English?? Weird.... Hmm, well, not a bad movie on the whole.

Backdate

This incident happen this Wednesday, but I was too busy the whole week rushing term paper to blog about it. Well the story goes like this: I was going to be late for work since I had missed an earlier bus 28. The time reads 9am on my watch, when I am supposed to be at office normally by 845am (work start at 8am according to regulation). I was digging half my mind out trying to think of a legitimate excuse for being late, when my bus begin to stall at the bustop near kambagan MRT station. Attempts to restart the engine failed and all passenger are required to get off the bus. To think that I am just 3 stops away from my destination... why must it happen to me?? But, on second thoughts, suddenly, I am presented with an answer just fallen out of the sky accompanied with proof. Hmm, am I supposed to be happy or sad, I wonder...

A blessing or a curse?

Living a life

Over lunch time, one of my colleague commented: "We must learn how to live a life and not lead a life for living". It set me thinking about what I actually want with my life in future. Am I living my life now? Or am I just leading a life for living? It seems to me that the latter describe more about my situation now. How truly sad right? How many people can truly say now that they are living their life? I believe no much. Never mind about that, now that I know, I shall try to strife for the former.

*Phew* after 14 h 58 mins of editing, finally completed my term paper. 4 freaking days of stress and few hours of sleep. Next up, powerpoint presentation for the term paper....I am brain-dead.....

Oh yeh, started on the wrong track for the term paper.

At least considered a week's time gain.

As I did not found that out during my presentation.
