Synopsis: Irresponsible charmer Arthur Bach (Russell Brand) has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune, and the good sense of lifelong nanny Hobson (Helen Mirren) to keep him out of trouble. Now he faces his biggest challenge of choosing between an arranged marriage that will ensure his lavish lifestyle, or an uncertain future with the one thing money can't buy, Naomi (Greta Gerwig), the only woman he has ever loved. With Naomi's inspiring personality and some unconventional help from Hobson, Arthur will take on the most expensive risk of his life and finally learn what it means to become a man, in this re-imagining of the classic romantic comedy "Arthur". If you have no idea how a total jerk with no limits to his money supply will behave, you are about to find out in this movie. On the whole, the first half of the movie disgust the audiences with Arthur sickening extravagant, and his ideology that everything in this world can be bought with money. However, on deeper thoughts as we explored Arthur's past, he seems like a lost child, over protected and under exposed to society, trying to fill a void since his father death (and moms absence) without success. Everything change when his only nanny died and for the first time in his life, he has to be independent. A funny light hearted movie that may just brighten you weekend.
