Round up for last week

It has been a tiring week, nevertheless to see green all day round and maybe occasionally do a little blood donation to the pesky mosquitoes. Going back to Jurong Camp 2 has been a dread, especially so when the place is situated somewhere out in Jurong West St 93 and I happened to stay in the east and whats more, to be caught in a jam at KJE early in the morning at 7am. -.-!! Not a good start, I will say. But to see all the familiar faces once again, all my bad mood disappear. Doing catch up, remembering all the tough days we have been through together, these guys are really a fun and great company to be with. Thanks JY, for bring me the T-shirt all the way from Old Trafford~ =)
Fast forward to the Saturday tech mob in Maju Camp. Its helps us to orientate to the camp on what we should do in the case that we are mobilised. It has been great to see Lumpy who have not join us for the past 3 ICT due to studies in poly, which have a different timetable from university. And it has been a dread to see a certain person still in our battalion. I certainly wonder why is he still in our platoon, since he failed the scout course, don't know how to drive any vehicles, been known to tell lies, been known to steal money, shower foams and ET sticks from our own people. And I wonder.. is he really a guardsman? Well, 4th ICT, my combrats, see you all then....
~*mds* hope you have a happy day today =) Correct situation, correct timing, I shall look for~

The End?

Finally, the day has arrived to say goodbye to my IA at CPG Laboratories. Thanks to all the personals in my department for I have learned much about civil and environmental testing in the past six months. One only regret is that I will not get to see and use the new ICP Spectrometer!! Hmm, holiday job next semseter?? Oh well, what next after IA?? Think the LCK jungle is calling me to join them for a 1 week chalet.....

A recent trip down to the HR to sign some document for the out-process of my IA reveal some rather disturbing fact. Out of curiosity, I asked the personal roughly how much a degree with honours holder salary is like? I guess $2500 but to my surprise, he say the company can't pay a salary like that. At most it will be just around $2000. In addition, they do not care whether you have honours or not, the basic principle is: You are a degree holder.....I certainly hope the rest of the private sector is not like that, or else, what is the use of studying 4 years??

Life Cycle

My colleague has once again set my brain thinking about his theory of life. He said that humans are born to work, and work till they die. We should not retire so early because it will cause a gap in our life. In the morning when we woke up, what is there for us to do when there is no work? Nothing. The only thing it will do to us once we retire is accelerate our death. When human cease to work his brain, they will die faster. Is that true, I wonder... But then, I find there is a cure of what we can do to work our brain once we retire. Majiong anyone? =p
Again, his theory on human life cycle. He said that there should be 3 life cycles for everyone generally. The first would be from 1-25 years old, where we spent most of our time studying. The next would be from 25-50, where we work our butt off to build our career. The third? That would be from 50-70, where we strive for a new career. Wow, that would definitely make Singapore Government very happy~ Hmmm

Sex and the City

Synopsis: Follow the adventures of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) four years after the series ended as they continue their lives in Manhattan. Along with original characters such as Mr. Big (Chris Noth), Magda (Lynn Cohen) and Steve Brady (David Eignerberg), Academy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson joins the cast as Carrie's (Sarah Jessica Parker) new assistant. [Source: Yahoo! Singapore Movies]
Truth be say, I have never watch one season of Sex and the City before, but overall, I find this movie quite enjoyable, in a humourous sense. The actors compliment each other well, going about gossiping, talking about anything under the sun, including the topic: "sex". They are in the movie talking to each other and suddenly, one of them just say, when was the last time you have sex with your husband? I was like....., well, its SEX and the city, I supposed, but still, I think they could have cut off some of the sex scene. =p. Character wise, they are all individuals with their unique character. Its a joy watching them explore and play out their roles in the movie. One of them craves sex all the time and indulge in expensive stuffs. Diamonds, LV, Gucci are all a must. The lives of the upclass Americans... Oh well... Not a bad movie to watch, and try to enjoy the humour in the movie. One last thing, watch out for the dog~ ;p
Rate: 3.2/5
~Thanks *mds* for the effort, I will treasure you always, *hug*~

First red bomb away

As one grows older, it is inevitable that wedding invitations start coming. Well, I got my first one, held at Novotel Hotel in Clark Quay. It was a good experience catching up with my scout platoon whom I had not seen for half a year. Next meet up will be 2 weeks later in Jurong Camp 2 for reservist. Oh well.... sianzzzz. On a hindsight, its time to start getting contacts for potential companies who might employ me...hmmm
