I must try to imagine and convince myself that
  1. I love mugging.
  2. I like hydraulic. All the tutorial questions is a piece of cake!!
  3. Projects can be done in a single day.
  4. The dateline is near so I will work doubly hard.
  5. I like the 4o pages of readings waiting for me to flip through. They are very interesting indeed!!!!!!

ok, I need devine help now, seriously.......

Why did I LS 4 times this morning? Is it something I ate yesterday? Or did someone put something in my food? OR is it the chocolate?????????? :P

Dead brain

I need coffee. I need coffee. I need coffee. I need coffee. I need coffee.
I don't like hydraulic. I don't like hydraulic. I don't like hydraulic. I don't like hydraulic.
Hydraulic don't like me. Hydraulic don't like me. Hydraulic don't like me. Hydraulic don't like me.
out for lunch.

The devil wears Prada

This movie basically talks about this fresh undergrad, Andy, who interviewed and got a job as the second assistance to the head (Miranda) of runway magazine. Not the good kind of boss that will take care of her subordinates, Miranda keeps bombing Andy with a never-ending list of impossible tasks. It is a great pleasure to watch how Andy managed to navigate her way through her demanding boss, who never failed to amuse me with her killer smile and wicked sense of humor. Nevertheless, you can also treat yourself to the huge variety of designer clothes, bags and accessories on screen. I sometimes just wonder, who will pay $1000 just for a bag??
Finally, my first movie after school reopens..... Going by the way, I think my next movie will be somewhere in December? Sigh~ NUS just managed to kill and drown me in projects and tests this semester. Hello....I am in engineering!!! NOT ARTS!!!! Thinking of the 10,000 words projects + powerpoint just demoralized me. Hmm, my group decides to be wicked and decides to imagine almost the whole of San Francisco destroyed by a earthquake, with the collasp of the Golden Gate bridge. Yeah! Now, that will provide us something to write about the first 5000 words......

Engine Day??

Engine day?? Nonono, I feel it should be change to EVE Sports day!! After lecture at 10am, around half the class went down to SRC for 2 hours of badminton and ping pong. Unsatisfied after lunch at subway, around 8 of us continue with part 2 of pingpong at MPSH 2 until ...... Guess what? 7.15pm!!! Well, that was the time I left them, and there is still 2 steel man playing happily away.... Wow... What are they made of man, got so much stamina....
Hai~~ Looks like there is no term break for me.... Tied down with projects and tests.... Still need to go back to school somemore. Crap......

Mysterious Universe

I wish I can see a comet flypass someday, the most I have seen is only asteriod, disintegrating in the Earth atmosphere in a bright flash of light in less than one second.

OMG o_0"""

Looking at the term tests after break and the amount of projects, can someone kill me and end my suffering???
*slap head**faint*
Hmm, on a side note, looks like my date with Pulau Ubin is not over!! Haha, I will be going there after all. Yeah!!!

This is what the real moon looks like.....

This is what the ancient Chinese imagine what is on the moon.....

Work and travel in USA

Initially, I thought only 4 of my classmates is interested in going for this during our 3 months break. Now, KY just ask me if I am interested in going too. So far, Wah and SW are most likely going if nothing goes wrong. Hmm, working and travelling in USA for 3 months will be fun and exciting, but the problem is, I have to first fork out $3k. Awww, must start saving now...

Gek 1001

The golden arches of conflict resolution
"No two countries which has McDonald outlets have ever fought wars with each other."
"The golden arches of conflict prevention stipulated that when a country reached a level of economic development where it had a middle class big enough to support a McDonald network, it became a McDonald's country. And people in McDonald's country didn't like to fight wars anymore. They preferred to wait in line for burgers."
So, we should bring in McDonald to Iraq and Afghanistan. Yes????
Questions to Ponder........
If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, will they called it FED UP?
Are Lipton Tea employees allowed to take coffee breaks?
If olive oil comes from olive, where does baby oil come from?
If people from Poland are from Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes?
Is there a particular reason why the person who invest all your money is called a broker?
If horrific means to cause horror, does terrific means to cause terror?
If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it a success?
If vegetarians eat vegetable, what do humanitarians eat?
Hearing Rasa Sayang (Singapore folk song in rap) by Dick Lee is really an eye-opener!!!

It is so coincidental that I think LCP must be stalking me la....
LCP was on Bus 96 with me when I came to school on this Thursday morning.
LCP was on Bus 96 with me when I went home from my OG dinner on Thursday night.
LCP was on Bus 96 with me when I came to school today morning at 930am.
What is the probability of this happening again??
Point to take note: LCP is not in the same course as me. Chances of this happening is entirely random.
Statistic and probability major students, solve this question for me. =p

Got so bored in mugging that I started playing. Argz.
I am invincible! Hahah

Sports Day

Suddenly, my classmates are health conscious. They actually ask me if I want to play ping pong this Friday! But sorry la, have to reject you because I got something on this Friday. So coincidental right. Sigh~ I want to play ping pong and soccer!! Maybe Friday will forever be my sports day. For a healthier body and hopefully mind, before they are corrupted by all the engineering formulas....
Old people are so troublesome........

People around me are going crazy......

Fancy playing badminton at 10pm in the middle of a carpark? Lets see if they get run down by any cars soon.....

Here is another reason why I don't foresee myself doing chemistry.

Tubes tubes and more tubes. Argzz :(

Today is the annual International Coastal Cleanup Day worldwide, where environmental friendly people will head down to beaches and swamps to clear up all those rubbish that irresponsible people has thrown out, killing marine life such as horseshoe crabs, birds and turtles. Like last year, the site we are cleaning look almost the same, but we have progress deeper into the swamp, thus, our efforts are paying off! Yeah!!

Woke up at 630am and reached Sunei Buloh at around 930am.

Low tide scene.

Someone ask me today: Are all those buildings across from Malaysia?

My reply: Ya...

Someone's reply: Wa... We can see Malaysia from here ar?

My reply: Ya la!! What do you think? We are in Kranji you know.....(Geography fail la...)

Unsightly Scene

Stuffs that we dug out. There is even a polyester sampan boat!! I wonder who uses it...Illegal immigrant?? *Shrugs*

Mangrove Saplings. An interesting find, comparing last year sapling with this year, I realised that they have only managed to grow a few more pieces of leaf!! Their growth rate are really SLOW....

Ladies and gentlemen, on the count of three, start STEPPING on those gloves!!! Whahaha!

Tired myself out while trying to squeeze the gloves dry. Managed to leave school at around 3pm to have our family KFC lunch at Jurong Entertainment Center! Seriously, 3 people cannot finish 8 piece chicken, 4 medium Pepsi, 3 pineapple pie, 1 large cloeslaw and 1 large mashed potato la.

Ending: Week 4. Coming: Week 5.

Ok, managed to wrap up the sickening essay at 345am this morning. Finally, a major essay offloaded my mind. Hmm, but, another is starting today! Crap. Discussed in school for 2 hours and we still cannot decide on the topic? Sigh~ I have given my vote, the rest is up to your le.
Is there really biochem tutorial today? I wonder.... Stepped into the lecture hall at 830am and he is going through his lectures instead of tutorial? Hmmm.
Senior reports is definitely a must!!!! Save me a hell lot of time today. Haha. In the end, I only managed to get out of NUS at 545pm. Long day indeed.......

Mixed feeling

Started the day at 9am and ended the day at 3pm. Same old stuffs, engine lectures can really torture your mind. :( Went to library after lesson to finished up my biochem essay. Shucks, even after crapping, I only managed to come out with 782 words instead of the required 950? Dieeee.......
At 4pm sharp, I went over to the Raffles Museum to settle some stuffs for the upcoming International Coastal Cleanup. I thought it will only take a short while, but....I am dead wrong. Have to pack up 40 shirts, 27 pairs of gloves, 9 clipboards and wait for the late arrivals so that we can start the briefing. By the time they finished, it was already 530pm. Ohh well. I am rewarded with......

carrying this pile of rubbish (T-shirts) back home!!! It was super heavy lor....

YT, today paiseh leh, leave you alone in library to mug for 2 hours. Hope you didn't fall asleep in library while mugging.......

Some little surprise......

The words hor... What can I say?? *faint* Anyway thanks to all the CAC ppl present today. Haha

Brain dead

5 hours of research yesterday, 3 hours of writing today and it's only half done. Someone please kill me. Piecing 5 different references to make one coherent essay is hard.....
EDIT (07/09/2006)
2 more hours of writing + 1 more hour of editing + maybe 1 more hour of typing will close the deal. Yeah!!!!

Tuesday, September 05, 2006

Crap. Should have slept early last night. What I cannot solved for 1 hour last night, is solved in 15 minutes this morning! *faint* Perseverance sure doesn't pays....

Monday Blues

Started the day with 4 hours of straight lectures, of which 2 hours are spent listening to stories and the final 2 hours are spent looking at symbols and theories that make no sense. Great.....
After lunch hours was spent engrossing myself in Wikipedia at Engineering computer lab. Research, research and more research. Great......
What do you get at the end of the day? 2 engineering student nodding happily away 5 minutes into the lecture while trying to understand the universe at 4pm. Great........
I don't like Monday.

BUT, a little surprise today......

Thanks LT for the belated birthday gift. :)

GEK 1001

He never failed to amuse me! I want to be in his lecture instead of the biochem lab!!!
Transnational Company: Bata
What is its other nick name? Ans: Buy and throw away (I was like -.-''')
Well, it kind of make sense since its product is not really THAT good... Whahaha.
Some interesting facts about Bata. I used to think it was an Indonesian Company. But guess what? It started itself in Czech-republic! And it is not pronounced "Ba-ta", its correct pronunciation is called "Ba-cha"!!!!!
Yeah!! My last month pay is in!! Now, my account is in the green zone again! Haha.
Ill-fated Product names:
Mucos soft drink (Japan)...( thanks)
Pipi orangeade (Yongoslovia)
Pshitt soft drink (France)
Fockink Liqueur

What a day to start.....First, it was biochem lecture at engine from 8-10am. Then we have to rushed down to Science for our 4 hour biochem lab, after which we have to rushed back to engine again for a one hour uncertainty lecture. Can't they plan the timetables properly?? Hmm I miss my GEK1001 lecturer. Have to watch the webcast later in the morning....Miss his lecture all thanks to the biochem lab...... -.-'. This reminds me.... GEK1001 is the only lecture that has webcast.... Gosh, now I cannot even skip my other lecture le....*faint*

Lol, here I show you the three future chemist..... haha NOT!!!

Why am I not in the picture?? Well, I don't want to be caught violating the rules of the labs. For a start, I am in that lab wearing berms(not pants/jeans), wearing sandals(not shoes). Lol, I am like smoking my way through the whole lab, hoping no one realised I am not in the correct attitre.

Special thanks to all the people who wished me happy Bday today. Thanks Marilyn, pw, edna, JY, gunz, YT, Grace, Fabian, Lih Sheng, Jeremy, ZH, KS, Gera, Jason and GZ.
